You can get a cheap engine from an auto part store. I would think twice about it if I were you.I have bought three engines this way and you would think I would have learned not in the first place but,they are cheap {very cheap}and easy to get.I would spend a little more money and go to a local machine shop with a good rep. Don't just go to the first shop. Talk to them and talk to some of the workers and customers until you feel comfortable. GOOD LUCK!
