Text notification

I've looked but cannot find it so I'm assuming there is no way for text notifications for posts?

Thanks

Re: Text notification

You can set your account to automatically subscribe to threads whenever you participate to a thread, or you can manually do it for each thread you reply to. Both will give you the option of being notified when a new response is received.

However, note that you will only receive one email, per thread, if you're away from the forum and new activity occurs. So if 3 people respond to one of your subscribed threads, you will only receive 1 email notification for that event. Basically, it will notify you of updated activity for the thread, and until you visit the forums, you won't receive further notifications for that thread. This is to prevent "flooding" members with a notice for every single reply while they're away from the forums.

If you want to have your account setup to automatically email you about new activity in a thread you participated in:
1) Go to UserCP : https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/usercp.php
2) Edit Options: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/prof...do=editoptions
3) Under "Messaging & Notification" section, set "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to "Instant Email Notification".
4) Scroll down to bottom of page and click on Save Changes button

If you want to manually subscribe to a thread that you participated in:
1) While replying to the thread, under the "Additional Options" section (below the area you type your response) change the "Thread Subscription" to "Instant Email Notification" before you submit your response. Note you have to be using the Full-reply form, and not the Quick Reply form to use that feature.
