Engine: 305 4bbl
easiest way to replace spark plugs on 305?
I'm looking at changing out the plugs on my 305 camaro (there's 8 of them in the backseat, guess the last owner knew it needed to be done). However, when looking at where the plug sits....OK, just let me ask, how the hell can you get the rear plugs without pulling the motor out?

I've done it and my car has AC, not easy! You might consider a ratcheting box end wrench for on the hex end of a spark plug socket, sometimes that helps. I also keep a good selection of short and long extensions in my toolbox and sometimes combine several lengths as well as universal "wobbler" adapters.
But I think I was going to remove my air tubes anyway and plug the manifold holes and that made it a lot easier too.
And, I'm the kind of guy that doesn't mind holesaw (small hole for extension and socket only) cutting a fenderwell to get access to the back plugs. You can always put a cover plate over the hole. Of course, my car is just a plain Camaro, not an IROC or nything, and it's not in beautifull condition either.
This was easier on older cars that have an A-Frame/upper control arm gasket in the front wheelwell that you can push aside to get access without resorting to animalistic rituals.

The way i got to mine was from under the car
You just have to find the right angle to squeeze the ratchet in, you'll get it!
The plugs on my were SUPER tight too! dont bust your knuckles!

I was just going to say that the rear plugs can be reached from under the car. A good trick for not busting your knuckles is when you push on the ratchet or wrench to loosen them use the open palm of your hand and dont wrap your fingers around it. This way if the wrench slips it will only be metal hitting metal and not your skin.

Got to all mine on the LG4 from above the car, think I had a swivel extension on the spark plug socket for the back pair. But did manage to get them all.

I changed the spark plugs in my wife's mercury monarch the strut tower is less than two inches from the exhaust manifolds on 351 windsor with angled plugs in opposite directions on each side brings new meaning to contortionism that's ford products for you though.

Everyone knows that mechanics have three elbows.........
On mine, after removing all the AIR stuff, getting the plugs was easy, only had to get the back two from underneath.
