tpi sputtering when accelerating

I have a 1988 tpi engine in my el camino. I have a computer for spped density with emissions deleted from larryselectricsite. I have had the tpi runniing for over a year. but now i did a little re build. I adjusted the timing and all of my sensors. but as i am adjusting my timing with one wire unpluged for the spark advance, i can get a nice clean running car. but as soon as it is hooked back up it seems to run fine, but at almost full throttle it will sputter at about 2000 and 3000 and completely looses power. my tps is set at .50 and ive had it at .54 etc.... but i can never get anything to help the sputter. I remember a paper i had that told me of an adjustment to set the tpi unit but i had lost it. i just need to know what this problem is, cause my tags have expiered and i need the car running now. thanky you for any help.
