Looking for Rims for an 83 TA.. I would like to get 17 or 18", but have no idea what will work on my car.. I did some research & found the backspace & other specs, but can't find rims that match..
Thanks for any help you can give..

You should be able to specify what back-spacing you want when you order the rims. Or at least you can get spacers for them. The only thing you need to ensure of is that you get rims with the right number of lug-nuts (I think GM uses 5 holes)

Most wheels today are being built for ricers. You'll have to look at Centerline or Boyd... etc (the original makers) for rwd. I think the backspacing is 4.5" front and rear. If you must have a specific rim you can buy spacers like I did.

I had the same problem that you did. I found some konig Five-0 wheels that are 17X8 inch. I haven't gotten them yet but I think they'll look great. I'm getting these because they are available with a 20mm offset which is real close to what we need for and 8 inch wide rim. I think that a 1/4 spacer could be used but not really a must. The kicker is, they're only 129 ea. Here is a pic.
