Travis, that is sexy. I can't wait for you to destroy my nova to motivate me to buy one. Besides, torque is nothing that gears won't compensate for.

I just got mine installed too. I went with 90* hose ends and I used the Earls metric to An adapters.

You know, it actually feels about the same torque wise. I notice that at highway speeds when cruising it takes a bit more pedal effort to climb in 4th with the TC locked. But when my foot is to the floor it lights them up just the same.

Tight fit there. Looks like that intake bellows is a little crimped there. Do you have to do something custom, or can you use it still?

How much did the V8 swap parts cost you? Did that include the custom headers or did you have to have buy them seperately?

The intake is tight, but It will work. I just found one from an lt1 caprice for test fitting. I'll pick up a 1LE one later. I plan on reversing the intake with the EDist and ls1 coils. I already have them, but I want everything running and tuned before I try to get rid of the dizzy. I'll have to add a cam sensor, which I also have.
Will it all work as planned, Not likely.

No including the cost of the engine, I have about $2000-$2500 into the swap. I have about $2k into the engine from intake to pan. The engine is a zz3 with about 30k on the clock. I didn't buy much new. Unless it was a wear item(ie:clutch) Or something that had to be custom(exhaust) It was all second hand. The intake is new because used ones were either too well used, or went for just as much as the new ones.

I also have another $600 or so into the suspension and brakes. I don't want to fall off the road.

I didn't use headers. Space is tight, and the only headers available that fit are overprice sanderson headers. Most people I've talked to have problems with them cracking. I'm using corvette ram horn manifolds. They are the ones with 2.5 inch collectors. They should flow just as well as the shorty sandersons and not crack.

If I feel the need for more power down the road, which I will, I'll attempt to make my own long tube headers get a bigger cam and some AFR heads.

My goal was to have 250rwhp. 315rwtq.
another fiero owner running a zz4 pulled 301rwhp/345rwtq
His setup was with a carb.

zz3 is the same as the zz4 but CR is 9.8:1 on the zz3 and 10:1 on the zz4

If you were interested, you can find a lot of info about the swap at www.v8archie.com He's been doing these for almost 20 years now.
sorry bout the drawn out post. I just wanted to give the best answer.

Been to archies several times on the web. Always just to look at the cars.

There are always hidden costs and I wanted an opinion from someone who has already done the swap rather than a price list from a website. There is always little **** that adds up in the end.
