i just got my car painted and now the rims dont match, i have a berlinetta so i have the crappy 15spoke things but i want to keep it looking stock, even if i changed the color... anyway i want to change the gold to maroon to match my car. what all do i need to do to get ready to do this? all i have to do is prep it then its going to be painted by the guy who painted my car. he said that all he needs me to do is scratch everything down but i want to clean up the aluminum and polish it. i also need to leave the gold paint on to give the new paint something to stick to. if i stripped the aluminum down to metal would clear coat be enough to still give it a shine afterwards and look good? and whats the best and quickest way to do all of this
