abrasive and non abrasive waxes and polishes???

It was something nick said in another post said got me thinking about this topic. I'm getting low on wax and it will be soon to buy more.....I was looking towards the stuff CustomX has but im not sure what ill get. I'm curently useing Nu Finish (liquid) for a polish, Meguires Gold class clear coat (liquid) for wax and i just used the mothers showtime as a detailer. I love all the stuff i am useing now id just like to switch it up abit. I got about a year old clear/base paint job.

Id like to know how can i tell buy looking at a wax if its abrasive or not but looking at the label??? Is the stuff im using abrasive?

What are the best waxes out there and are they abrasive or not? I really enjoy a fast applying and removeing wax,,,,,so the more user friendly the better. Price doent matter too much as a good bottle (if I like it) is worth it, as it can last a long time!

I thought they should say if they're abrasive or not? Anywho, I think the formula 113 is the best stuff ever. My dad didn't think my car could get any shinier with the fresh paint in it, but it sure as helll did.

If they came out and told you its pure sandpaper would you buy it?

Some are more abrasive then others.

Nu finish for example.......

Zaino and Formula 113 as far as I know are the only 2 that do not have no abrasives in them.

Formula 113,no abrasives.

Even most polishes have abrasives in them.

Zaino from my knowledge contains no abrasives.

But my vote is for F113.

113 has a micro fine abrasive in it.

Zaino has none since its a polymer.

Since zaino has none, unless your paint is absolutley flawless then it really isnt going to help you. Even thier scratch "filler" takes a bijillion coates to see any difference. And it tends to last longer then 113, but the 113 gives off a much better initial shine.

Each has its pros and cons.

For me the 113 pros far outweight the cons, and yes ive used zaino so all you zaino naysayers dont even try to bring that one up.

Actually i beilive he came on here saying it had a micro fine abrasive in it.

thats what i based my information from.

Teh abrasive is so fine you could wax your car every day for a yr or 2 with no negative side effects.

I wont lie about what i sell. Id rather sell and use a product that i know helps make my paint look its best instead of just sit on top.

Tru!
Of course I wouldnt buy it???
But because Nufinish has more abrasives in it does that make it bad to use??? I mean it is a polish, not a wax. I am very pleased with the shine and feel of the paint after im done using nufinish it kind of works like a cleaner to.

What waxes are realy abrasive that do you know of? I find that if I do a spot with wax and do a spot with just nufinish the nufinish gives off a better shine. But for say old paint the wax i was using kicks A$$!!! It covers fine cratches. But like someone else sad actually the wax im usuing very slightly dulin the my new paint job and it sucks cause after i polish it it looks so good I dont want to ruin it but waxing it but I have to cause I want to protect the paint.

What other good waxes are out there guys??

the once a year wax is because more then that and youll have no clear coat left is our joke aroudn here......

If it works for you and you liek it, then thats all that really matters with any wax or polish.

For a cheap off the shelf setup id go with mirror glaze and then some gold class.

I tend to liek meguires the best out of all the "off the shelf" brands.

Of course you know the drill about what i would say about specialty brands.....
