I got some IROC-Z rims and the plating looks like its coming off.Since its too expensive to get re-chromed...what are some good choices?I am planning on painting the car white and wondered what will take the chrome off the rim and what can
I color them?Will Aircraft Stripper Autozone sells take hte chrome off?PLEASE help!!!!

Its probally just the clear coat comming off of the wheel. If you do a search on polishing wheels, You can find many ways on how to polish the wheels.

Nah...this chrome has been on forever.I am not the original owner.If ya look close enough, you can see the gold color underneath it coming through.That gold color is the factory color that was on it before they were chromed.I'm just gonna take the chrome off with something and try to paint and polish them somehow.Need to figure out HOW to first.LOL!!!!!
