Seeing as I only have a V6 Camaro at the moment, I wanted to do something a bit different for shows.
Now I know a lot of you think that neons etc are a bit too r!c3y (cracks me up how that is a banned word), but I thought that done properly it could look good on the Camaro.

So here are a couple of pics of what I did. I have small led accent lights in the vents of the ground effects and a few more mounted betweeen the headlamps and in the grill.




What do you think?

The neons have potential, but the LED "dots" don't do it for me...

I like the neons and the lights in the gfx vents....

but the headlight and license plate lights are just a little too much for me to handle....

I wasn't too sure about the "dots" as it were. I think I need to have the led's reflecting off the car itself.
In each of the gfx vents there is just a single led but it is aimed at the bodywork so reflects nicely off it.

Unfortunatly the pics don't really show how bright the undercar led's are. They also have various strobe modes which looks cool. I will have to get some better photos.

I'm not to fond of the headlight one but the rest is sweet! how much fow all that?

Ok I need to try and convert to a rough $ price from the good old Ģ

I got the undercar led's off of EBay for about $130 and the accent lights come to roughly $50
Luckily I have a Brother in Law who is a great car electrician and all the wiring is very nicely done.

I was thinking about doing the same thing to my car. Except I wanted the underglow to be red, to match the paint. Anyone have a pic of this? I don't have a pic of my car on here so I can't photochop it. (Bright Red '88 GTA)

you guys need to search. don't care for the single leds as you can see them but the neon looks nice.

But yea, I'm liking the white and the red underglow. I'm not gonna put anything on the inside. Rather people see my car than me. How much those run you? I wanted the ones on the sides to stretch end to end pretty much. And with the front and rear, just wide enough so that its the width of the car. Thanks dude!

well unless you build your own setup or custom make a kit they won't completely fill in the gaps like the startrek setup. you can custom build your own to do that though.

all my kits are streetglow gold series and run $165 a set.

how do you know where to mount them, trial and error? plus how durable are the neons, in case your car is lowered and you happen to case it or hit a speed bump?

mine are in the gfx which makes a big difference....pretty much trial and error though. use to charge around $200 for custom installs back when i did it as a job. now that i've done so many i typically charge $50 unless it's a major job and it takes roughly 2 hours tops.

luckily mine isn't lowered much so i can't help you, the two sets i have don't give me any problems but i do have them held in with zip ties so that there is some "slack" if you want to call it that which allows for slight twisting of the fram under hard acceleration and larger bumps.

I like the ones in the ground effect scoops, but the dots on the front end just don't look very good at all.

Those white underglows are sooo awesome on your car Kandied. Are those the streetglows for $165 that you were talking about? If they are, I may be thinking about getting underglows for the very first time.......

yes they are the streetglow brand and gold series. the blue series is slightly cheaper but its more time consuming for an install as it has separate transformers for each tube rather then one like the gold series. the gold series is also the brightest set out there today as far as neon kits go. spend a little more though and you could pick yourself up an led undercar kit which runs around 280 and you can change up to 30 some odd colors but it isn't as bright.

the white works very nicely.......
