Well, after a lot of work I finally finished one rim...minus for some paint I need to finish. Needless to say, I think it turned out well, definetely good enough to get the other three completed.
It is wet sanded to 2000 grit and finished of with four coats of mothers billet polish.

It clearly could be polished more to have more of a mirror effect, but i actually like the way that looks as they are, gives them i nice brushed aluminum type look. Awesome

Yeah, I polished everything that was origionally clearcoated. I started out by removing the clearcoat, and then used a drill w/ wheel to get rid of the stock casting. From there, the fun started
400grit to 600grit to 800grit etc., all of the way to 2000 wet sand. The easy part was the flat "star" the hard part was the inner part of the outer rim if that makes sense.
I also tried polishing the painted areas, but I had a very hard time getting the corners smooth enough to look descent. The gunmetal paint looks much better imo.
It does actually have a very nice mirror to it, my camera flash just likes to kill it. An out door shot probably would have turned out better, hopefully I have a pic soon w/ all 4 on the car

I did that some years ago to four 13" rims .. came out beautiful.. however I just used an anglegrinder .. with a buffing wheel attached to it
The Camaro rims are touch to do... just because of that damn tough coating they got on lol
And yes ... that area .. kinda like a "corner" where the curved edge meets the flat star part ... tough right there
Looking excellent !!!
I think I'd probably jump on mine faster if .. I knew there's some cheap spinners out there that will fit these wheels... and by spinners I mean the center cap two or three spoke spinners lol... old style.. small
