new to this site, pics of my Custom Camaro

here are some pics of the custom camaro IM building, I am following a commemorative chevrolet racing theme. have had a custom paint and body shop for over 10 years, I have tore down the exterior, fixed a lot of hail damage, Painted it 94 chevrolet Mellinium yellow, With satin black stripes. The stripes have a fine red pinstripe on the outside edge to tie in the red, The red grand sport stripes help break up the yellow, I then built custom Hood lenses so You can see through the hood ...I have also built custom Clear headlight lenses, and built a fully custom engine compartment ( I will be selling engine bay kits). I cut out custom vents to help air escape the engine compartment, ( still have to add the scoops) I also built custom tail lights for the car. Its still in progress, Im looking to put a set of ZR1 corvette 17x11 and 17X9 black wheels on it to finish her off. Hope you guys like it.
any question

That is definetely unique. My congrats to you on your custom camaro. Not to bust your chops, but you need to do something to the spoiler, make it/one taller, not 5 inches though it's to big and doesnt look right. Make one no taller than 4in. I would buy one(especially for the 87-90 years,no one makes one for those years.).and yes add the Zr1's the rocs look great but not custom enough for the ride.

awesome looking stuff, a few things i dont like , i dont like all the red gs stripes all over it , just have on set on the drivers side fender and take the others off , and the tail lights dont look right . And the little vent on the hood isnt doing it for me .The rest is freaking great , all the little openings are great and really make it look better . The engine bay is cool too , never seen that b4. and the hoos is pretty cool with the openings, and the stock rims look badass like that .

wow, props to all your hard work. awesome craftsmanship.

I think the twist with the iroc wheels looks pretty sweet. Any more pics of those? Hood looks pretty sweet also. The paint is sharp! I'd have to do-away with the red hash marks on the bumpers. It looks cool on the fender though.

A+ on all your work, def. very cool.

Love the windows in the hood and nice job on the engine bay! Overall one of the nicer custom jobs I have seen without going to crazy

May I ask what's the scoop on the lower part of the hood for? guessing some type of cold air.

On the hood scoop, That is a cold air intake, if you notice the engine bay I utilized the factory air intake to make it more concealed. I have been dabating on deleting the red on the front and rear bumpers, I think I have decided to repaint the bumpers solid yellow. Ill leave the fender GS stripe just because no one else has it and it helps break up the bright yellow. The wheels were sanded and painted base coat clear coat 0-0 black they look really nice in person. I just want the ZR1 wheels..

I really like the engine cover you fabricated!
I have been thinking of doing something like that for a long time.
I would be interested in buying a set of those covers that sit above the headlights.

Thanks.

It's definitely custom...I really like the vents in the GFX (and in the fenders if they are vents)... the Grand Sport stripes might be a bit to much as mentioned, but they look good on the fenders... I really like the engine bay, it was put together nicely, and yes get the ZR1's with black spokes and a polished lip, they would look awesome on the car, and finish it nicely.

nice looking ride you got there. I like the engine bay covers the best. It hids a lot of that ugly wiring we all have under there. You said you wanted to repaint the front bumper in all yellow, DONT!! The black headlight pockets break up the yellow on the car and personally it looks meaner like that. I plan on doing mine over the winter. I think a nice clean polished set of grid style taillights would look a lot better on the car as well. But overal, you did a great job. Keep up the great work and keep us updated on new mods you go to it.

Seems too ***** for my tastes, but you seem to do good work, so I'll give you props on that.

I do like the stripes on the fender, but I'm thinking it would look better with one on the other side as well(I dunno I like symmetrical cars) The slits look cool too. The engine bay and the holes in the fender seems like it would be on a Ferrari. The rally stripes would look better if they were further apart, IMO.

Those are just a bunch of nit-picks you can ignore. I like that you put some hard work into your car though, with the attention to detail.

Plan on going to any shows with it?

The inspiration for the engine bay kit:

Okay man, not trying to dog your work, just injecting a bit of humor into the thread. I think the work quality looks top notch and the originality is definitely there. Good work.

Thats an awesome car. please dont let people stop you from doing your own thing and being unique. So what if its not there cup of tea! Nice color, nice mods and nice overall look.

It kinda reminds me of the old muscle car crowd screaming "thos 17s just dont look right on a muscle car!!" and "doing anything but a 100 point factory restoration is sacralige!" If people listen to the nay sayers pro-touring would have never become popular. And the go fast parts we have today might not even be around.

People here are going to hate my car so much when im done >_<

Anyone notice his post advertising the Ebay ad before that post was deleted? (The other mention of the ad came after all that). He came on here, said email him with questions, posted a link to an Ebay ad, and hasn't really came back since. Hmm...
Well I hope he does come back, that looks like good work and he could probably be helpful to the site.

Below the turn signal lights (on the front of the car), are those dual slots cut into the ground effect acting as brake ducts, or are those black lines painted ?
