T-Top question

This may sound a little silly, but I'm looking for my first 3rd gen and one of my friends told me that if I wanted a Firebird with T-Tops and a V-8 (which was one of my ideas), it would have to be 1989 or older as GM didn't make any after that until 1993. I think he's misinformed.

Am I correct that they were made after 1989?

Re: T-Top question
You are definitely correct; my '91 Firebird has T-Tops and a 305. I think the more common rumor is that they didn't make T-Top cars with 350s after 89; as far as I know, this is incorrect as well, according to the tech data on this site for 1991 Firebirds, which states you could get T-Tops with an L98 350 TPI.

Re: T-Top question
'89 was the last year for the thirdgen having T-tops with the 5.7.
The T-tops were still available with the 5.0.

Yes, they still made V-8's with T-tops all the way through the end of the 3rd gen run. After '89, there weren't the 5.7's with the tops with a few rare exceptions. Although you can find 5.7's with C&C tops from time to time, which is what I have. All depends on if you want stock tops or are OK with C&C.

I think that's what he may have been thinking of. Thanks.
