It's probably going to be well over 100mb, but like me being on T1 won't take too long. I'm home for spring break this week, geesh this crap takes forever to load. , I just have dial up here.

If Roshambo and 86Fyrbrd post in this and read down this far, I've already searched the forums and got most of your pics.

Well, right now its a baby 2.8L V-6. I'm hoping to have a V-8 in it by the end of the year. I can't decide what V-8 yet. The hard part is that it is my daily driver, so i need some other vehicle to drive first. I'm hoping my mom's 85 wagon lasts that long (she just got a new car)

The cold air induction was hand made.

I used the only K&N filter that Auto zone in 2000 that had a cap on one end and an opening on the other. The filter was $50 or so. To attached this filter to my mass air, I had to use a rubber reducer from Home depot. I installed the temp sensor in it. The large end I attached to the filter. The small end I attached to mass air. Then I had to get a coupler to go between the mass air and the accordion rubber part. If I remember correctly, because my accordion piece is oval, its end was too large for the mass air.

My system drew air from beneath the car. I built ducts to feed air to it and to try to protect it from dirt and water. I had to clamp the filter to my front sway bar to keep the bottom out of the serpentine belt. At the top I used the old intake bracket. I moved it over one hole to the right and used it to still hold the radiator hose. The other end I stuck under one of my hose clamps the keep the weight of the intake from pulling it down into the serpentine belt. It allowed the accordian piece to make an easy curve. Now I'm in the process of switching over to a true ram air design. I have the hood and the new box. The fit is going to be tricky.

If I had to do it over again now...The filter elements are more common and I would use a smaller one. I'm sure there would be one that would have and opening the same diameter as the mass air. As far as the end that attaches to the accordian piece, I have seen some pieces that are more round and might be the right size to connect to the mass air directly. I pulled one off an Fbody at the junk yard. I would also eliminate the pipe that goes from the valve cover to that accordian piece.

I hope this helps. I wish I had taken pics as I went. It would make explaining much easier. Let me know if you want more info.

85maroZ28 love that ride. So smooth looking.
redraif man your car is nuts. Everyone to his own. I don't like vehicles in general that are all one solid color. Like red everywheres. But its kinda cool for a change. I was wondering why you mounted your filter behind the rad and dead infron the the engine. Doesn't the hot air blowing on it all the time rob it of power? Just wondering.

Now for a few sad pics of my car.

Hope they work.

Actually, the pic is deceiving. What you can't really see is the duct that is run to the filter from either side. I had 2 openings in line with the airdam. I had to cut away part of the airdam on either side of the radiator to mount the openings. They captured the cool air and routed it to the intake. I did not cut any away in front of the radiator though as to not inhibit any flow to it. The ducts were not sealed to the filter, so the part you see actually had cold air directed at it as well.
