i am trying to replace my seat covers, but i dont know how to pull the headrest off. i have a few manuals , but none of them tell me how to take it off. if anyone knows how to it would be most appreciative. thanks

depends on the year of car & seats.but most can be removed by lifting the seat cover to the top of seat OR by putting you hand up the back of the seat.there is a release clip in the seat frame that retains the headrest bar and keeps from lifting all the way out.to some extent you can see this clip from the top of seat if you look down the slot of hd.rest bar.if its a 4th gen car with the double round bars.you have a similr set-up just two retainers w/two clips each.and theyre made of plastic.3rd gens are plastic & metal & flat.either way thay are somwewhat of a pain,but fairly a straight forward process.

ya i figured it out, but its pain in the *** to replace the seat covers.
