Digital gauges were not available until 1987. Also 1987 marked the first year of electronic guages. Speedometers and such. I don't believe Digital gauges at least not the factory GTA gauges can be installed in the older cars.

yeah, there are quite a few aftermarket dig. gauges out there. One of the most popular is Dakota Digital.

the digital gta gauges can be put in older t/a's with a bit of wire splicing +sensors
