my t-tops leak i called to order part i told them my weather stripping looked ok. they siad that there was also a seal in there, but i can not find were this seal goes? if any one knows were this seal goes or if i have been given incorrect info. would you let me know thanks so much

Ok, well where are your tops leaking from ? where is the water ending up.

Sorry to highjack this but I also need some help. My dad and I have run some weatherstripping adhesive in a lot of the areas around the rear of the weatherstripping, and that slowed it down, but leaks still remain. the driver side weather stripping is new I believe, i think the previous owner did it. there is a plastic panel in the back of my camaro that is held in with 4 phillips head screws. removal of the panel exposes the hatch hinge bolts. water drips from this panel whenever it rains. both sides of it too. also, the passenger side floorboard has a puddle in it after a good rain, and the rear floors are damp too.

they leak were the window meets the t-tops on both sides of the car and end up on front seats thanks again

Ok, IROCZ28dan, I had the same problem as you.. I removed all my t-top seals & t-bar.. and I have come to the conclusion that the sealant around the rear hatch hinge on the outside is toast. remove your hatch bolts and with some help lift up the hatch at the hinge.. if you can leave the nuts on a little.. to prevent the hatch from totally coming out.. I think water mi migrating under there. and whicking up to the screw holes and then down onto the panel & back seat..

one trans am, if your headliner getting wet.. remove your a-pillar cover on the driver side. and take off your t-top.. try and pull back your seal a bit from that area.. in the corner where the seal makes the transition from the roof to the side glass there is a gap.. why we'll never know. but there is a putty of sealant of sorts in that area.. usually a small hole will develop and water finds it's way in.. if thats not the case. check your drip rail on the t-top. and also check your alignment of the t-top to the car.. if water is getting between where the t-top and the body seal meet.. chances are you might be able to move your top a bit closer. though even mine from time to time will drip from there when I'm driving in the rain. I hope this helps you get looking in the right areas.
