I picked up a used fiberglass hood this weekend for a VERY good price because it had some slight damage. I fixed enough of the damage so I could put it on the car.
Got it on the car, got it alighned. But the hood hits the dual snorkle intake that I have, and wish to keep. I also have no idea what brand it is.
Has anyone had problems of the snorkle hitting an aftermarket hood? How did you go about making it all work?
Attached is picture, circled is where its hitting.

that doesn't look aftermarket, that looks like a factory 82-83 z28 glass hood.

I think I read on another post that a factory glass hood would not clear a TPI air intake.
Yep,thats a factory glass hood, sme as mine.A friend of mine bought one for his 88 Iroc. All he had to do was trim the area that was in contact with the intake & that solved his problem!
wow, didnt know they came factory with a fiberglass hood. WOOHOO, still GM parts
I made the cutouts in the hood so it would blow fresh air into the engine bay, or let hot air out.
So cutting the chunk out is what I thought, but then that weakens the latch area. Re-fiberglass that area back in then in a different form?
