i now this is probably going to be a dumb question but i am new to the 3rd gens and dont know mush about them. i have a 89 gta and i was looking under the drivers seat because i want to replace the seats. i noticed there was a black box mounted underneath the seat with a bunch of wires going/coming out of it. i dont have power seats so what is it for/ do i have to leave it if i replace my seats? thanks for the help

GTA's should all have power seats. Do your seats have any buttons on the side of them, should be like 4 circles or so? What about some curving "ribs" on the lateral supports? If not, the seats aren't original.

GTA seats are niiiiiiiiiiiiice.

i think what your talking about is the air pump for the support in sides of the seat and sides of the back. mine doesnt work so i dunno how it all works but there should be 4 buttons in a circle on the left side of the drivers seat.

the pump also controls both seats so there wotn be one on the passenger side.... some thing is messed up with mine the passenger side controls doesnt work but the drivers side controls both of them.
