I started to swap my headlights out for one piece models and now am unsure if I like it.The driver side is in and mounted...I then photoshoped the passenger side in so I could get a "finished" feel for it.Help me decide to finish or revert back to stock!!!!

Which car ?
Which car are the one piece from anyway ? Do they give any more light ? Do they fit perfectly or are they not wide enough or not tall enough ?

The only thing that bothers me about the one peice is the "color" of the lights, if that makes any sense. Other than that I think it looks good.

hmmm
Meaning the top one, looks like the headlights are a bit "yellow" ? Not real clear ?

Is that just a pic problem or was this a set of used headlights ?

They are used from an '89 Celebrity.I had been contemplating doing the Monte Carlo swap for a few years but EvilCartman did this swap a few months ago giving the idea to use the Celebrity lights as well.Gotta give credit to him for that!I plan to take them apart and polish and clean them up really well so hopefully they look better. We'll see after I am done.Trying to get them mounted first so I can send the brackets I made out for powdercoat and then polish and clean them.I cannot say if they give more light or not yet as they are not even wired.I plan to do the headlight wiring upgrade when I wire them in as well as some high output bulbs of some sort. They fit remarkably well..they may be a hair to narrow side to side...but it isn't an issue with minor adjustments. The brackets I made allow movement in just about all directions allowing me to really fine tune how the light sits in the pocket.Well...looks like I need to finish the passenger side up!!!

Here's the ones I did first part of September. The front bumper cover wasn't attached yet in this pic so that's why it's sticking out on the driver side. Night driving seems a bit better now compaired to the stocker lights, little wider pattern of light. Yeah, I need to paint my hood lol way down on the list at the moment, might just end up putting the stock one back on for now.

The pics you posted back then are what convinced me to try this out on my car.I would have to say I like them better on your car then mine so far.I like them better on the white car than the blue of mine.

Don't worry about the mismatched hood...I have primer 4th gen T/A mirrors and the Hawks 5" spoiler on my car right now which looks lovely against the viper blue!!

Here's the brackets on mine. Very solid and the headlights adjust like normal 1 bolt and 2 clips hold the headlight in just like on the original car.

Those lights look newer, they probably have better beam placement, or a least a better bulb/reflector design. I've still gotta vote for the stockers though, love the four headlight look. Reminds me my car is not just like all the other stuff out there.

Awesome !

Now are all these H4 upgrades somewhat legal ? I've seen some of the upgrades on Ebay but they look like they would be using Star Trek technology aimed to blind people and ask for the cops to pull ya over

There def not my style at all. Personally they look really cheap and out of place on these cars. The stock 4-lights looks mean and clean IMO.

Thats just me though I can't even stand those headlights on any car. There is alot of Chevy Silverados running around town with them.

Nice install though.

Just my oppinion, the origional headlights were one of the features that really makes that car stand out, and is a trademark of third gen camaros.

Any way you look at those lights they just don't fit the hole. This is why it doesn't look good. Their has got to be something new out their that will fit better then the Celebrity lights. What about a modded up new Colorado head light?

Celebrity lights don't fit the hole? That's funny because on mine, they do. They're practicly the same size as the stock assembly in a 1 piece package. Now there's some pics floating around of I think the older chevy truck style lights, those don't fit as good since they're smaller.

I agree, they do fit the headlight bucket perfectly.Just wasn't for me.With the few body mods I already have and the ones planned, these headlights made it too much and I just couldn't fall in love with the looks.

Re: Headlight Swap Poll!
I must say, the four-headlight setup is an essential part of these Camaros.

Now, IMHO the fourth gens should have *never* had four headlights. It just looks weird on a car that they smoothed everything else on, to have square headlights.

Re: Headlight Swap Poll!
I think that the four headlight setup is a main part of how the front end of these cars look. I really like the stock setup.

If the one piece headlight covers are plastic, keep in mind that they will get sand blasted and dulled out. That would never happen with the stock glass lights, not to mention if it did its a 5 minute replacement job. Just something to think about

I'm still liking the switch I did to the lights. Also, the lenses are glass not plastic.

Re: Headlight Swap Poll!
i think the single light looks good with the 82-84? style front bumper cover just because of the location and style of the turn signals. but with the 85+ i think it looks off.
