when I bought my 86 iroc the previous owner had put it in a ditch. Nothing is really bad the car is still in good shape just the right side near the ground effects has a couple of dents. However the splash guard in hte right front fender is screwed up pretty bad and it scrapes the wheel whenever I turn. Will the car be ok if I remove it? I can't put a new one in yet because I need a new fender and don't have the money right now. Any ideas?

it will be fine, but i suggest cleaning out the holes and the lip inside the fender and then putting some primer or paint on it to try and protect it from rust. My suggestion leans towards primer but if your keeping the fender and not repainting it then i would just get a small can of primer and then get a small touch up can of spray paint if you worried about how it looks. Otherwise if thats the fender your replacing...just remove it and don't worry about it...whats the worst that could happen?? It rust, lol.
