Hey there-- just got back into an IROC that's in really good shape. Body is straight and the paint is good. One question.. the vin indicates it's definitely an 88.. and the vin also shows it's a 350 engine.. so, it's got to be an IROC.. but, the logos on the sides of the car.. the small plastic emblems on the ground effects says Z28. Should say IROC right? Could this have come from the factory this way?
thanks so much

my 87 has the z28 logos on it as well the only iroc on the out side is the door decals. i think it should have an iroc z28 logo on the dash. the only other emblems i have is the tuneport on the driver's side rear bumper. i'v only had this car 5 weeks i could go out and check for sure if you want.
in 88 .. it went to IROC-Z on the sides.

When I bought my 88 Iroc it had the z28 on the ground effect. Not sure if someone change it or not?
that's the question.. did the early 88s have Z28? Or are our cars just wrong?
If they're wrong where can I get oem IROCZ logos for the ground effect?
thanks

I know the 85-87 cars had Z28 on the rockers, and IROC-Z towards the front of the doors. I thought 88-90 cars had IROC-Z on the rockers, and IROC-Z towards the rear of the doors. Maybe early 88 cars had Z28 instead of the IROC-Z rocker emblems. My 89 has the IROC-Z on the rockers.
