my 89 camaro rs 305 hasnt been driven for 2 years. when i finally got everything registered and what not, the brakes were squeaking. (i dont need new brakes) i took the 2 front wheels off (thats where the squeak is) and greased everything. i even sprayed this "squeak be gone" liquid to the brakes but it still squeaks!
help?
it is really annoying.

Re: squeaky wheel?
If im right, the squeaking is from surface rust on the brake pads and rotors. Since it was sitting for a while they rusted over. My Bonneville did this a while back, all you can do really is just let it be. After you use the brakes for a while, the rust wears off and then it should go away. This is the only thing i can think of, if anyone else has any ideas.......

Re: squeaky wheel?
I will second that. My rotors get rusty pretty quickly.
I will also add, just be sure that the brakes are in good condition, and working properly. After sitting that long you may want to take a look at your rubber lines to.
Also metalic or semi-metalic pads can squeal, just cause they have metal in them.
Other then that drive it, till the rust is gone. If it's still their you may have to dig a little more.
