While Wandering around the Junkyard today, i came across a new 1986 Camaro. To my surprise, It had window louvers. They appear to be aluminum, but the two bars that run along the middle of the inside (The ones that stiffen it) are coming off. It looks like they just glue on there and that the glue has released. Can i just use some silicone on this to hold them down? If not, what should i use? The Louvers do need a coat of paint, but since they're aluminum, that shouldn't be a problem, right? I managed to get all the hardware, but, Of course, the adheasive strips are junk. I'm thinking that shouldn't be a problem either. Once i get this thing all nice and pretty again, i'll probably try to sell it since my Camaro is a 1982 and doesn't have a third brake light.
Here are some shots. The Last one shows the Middle bar that i'm talking about. It's not bent, i'm holding it up as i take the shot.
