ok so im trying to install my umi subframe connectors on my 88 hardtop f body so far I have the car flat up on ramps in the front and jackstands in the rear on the inner frame rail, the rear end is supported by a jack. So far I bolted in the rear weld point of the sub frame connectors to the lca mounts but when I go to install the front of the connector, the weld point has 1 inch gap from the connector to the frame rail looks like the front frame rail got pushed in by jacking it up so much how can I fix this so I can install my connectors

Re: dented front frame rails
First thing to do is take the jack stands and put them on the rear axle. The car should be level with a equal load on all 4 corners.

Re: dented front frame rails
Then you will have to get some plate steel cut and build up and level off the weld area before you can weld them.

Re: dented front frame rails
Thay makes sense instead of trying to bend the frame rail back to its proper place just add steel in between it and then weld it all together ill do that and see how it goes

Re: dented front frame rails
Once you get the rails level, use a bottle or floor jack to put some pressure on the SBC to raise them to the frame rails if you need to. If your a good welder, you will figure it out, or take it to a welder to make sure it's done right. Good luck and send a pic, when you get it done.
