I recently bought a new set of t-top channels. The pieces that hold the seal in. Anyway, the piece that the channel was spot welded to has some pitting. Still pretty solid. I have hit it with a wire wheel. What should I do next? Should I spray a weld through primer on it? What should I do to neutralize the rust so I can prime,weld and paint?
