Hey guys, I hope you can help me with this. I just bought a hood scoop from www.up22.com, the SC-104. When i lay it on the hood, the front of it is off the hood about 1/2 an inch, because the hood is curved, but the scoop is not. Anyways, I need some directions for how to mold this on, and how far a should put it from the back of the hood. If any of you have done this before, please let me know what you did, and how it went. Thanks

I'm probably gonna put one on my car pretty soon. So far this is the only article I've read on how to do it:

i did it.

#1. i lined up the scoop on the hood and outlined where it was going to sit.

#2. i carefull started to drill and rivet in the hood using 1/8 inch rivets.

#3 i then used a grinder to very lightly smooth down the rivet tops...then i used the fiberglass putty to smooth over the rivet and edges of the hood scoop

#4 after sanding..more sanding..then some filing of small holes i primed the edge of the hood scoop to see where there was high spots and low spots.....then i sanded more...then i primed..then i filled..then i sanded...

i hope this gives u a good idea. i think i did an ok job of my scoop.
