My 89 GTA costs twice as much to insure than a 1999 Z28 and I believe it just comes down to safety issues.... My question is, has anyone heard or tried upgrading their safety options?? i.e. Anti-lock brakes, air bags, etc... Thanks

An alarm will lower most insurance rates. Even the factory VATS lowered mine on the 92. But they wouldn't give an airbag discount because i only had a drivers and not both drivers and pass.
