The motor for my power antenna stays on constantly. The only way to turn it off is to pull th fuse, but then I have no power locks, dome light, or horn to honk at crazy-drivin' rice buggies!!! I've got the thing in pieces right now cause I'm puttin on new struts, and I have the right wheelwell pulled out. But what the heck can I do to fix the antenna motor. The antenna is stuck "up," and it won't do down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for responding. I am not sure what you mean by being hooked into the constant on the head unit.

If you have an aftermarket head unit, there is a wire, usually green, possibly with a white stripe, that is for the power antenna. Unhook the wire.

If this is a factory stock antenna, then I would have to say that the cable that is coiled in the round housing that your antenna goes into, has snapped.I would recommend buying a new one. There was someone on the TransAmGTA site that was able to purchase a repair kit from GM, but he was told that they had discontinued them, and they would become difficult to get.
My antenna did the exact same thing, and I had to disconnect it so as to shut the motor off. After tearing it apart, I found the cable to be broken.
