In the FAQ's about installing a stereo, there's mention of placing the amp on "the hump right behind the back seat." Yet when I looked at my back seat, there isn't nearly enough room to put an amp there. I even tried with a 1 inch binder and the seat wouldn't even go all the way back.
I saw info on several members installing amps IN their seat back, which I think is too involved for me. However, I still would like to see the Tech article on it, but the link is broken. does anyone have a copy they can post or email me?
Thanks for your help!

i thinkt he hump the mean is the area over the gas tank directly behind the rear seats. you are trying to mount it on that hump but u are doing it in front of the hump and then putting the rear seat back up right? u cant do that. the tech article means on top of that hump.

you dont have to mount the amp behind the seat, i to had this problem of where to mount the amp, it didnt fit under the sub box and it would fit being the rear seats, so i just mounted the amp inside the sub box and drilled a hole through the wall inside the box and ran the speaker wire to the other sub..then i sealed it off with silicone and i also sealed off where i ran all the wires through the box...you can use the bottom bolt on you hatch pull down motor as a ground....sounds great, amp doesnt over heat
