The previous owner of my 1990 Iroc took his aftermarket stereo with him. I have recently purchased an oem Delco for the car but I need speakers. Can anyone recommend a set of speakers that will work well with Delco deck?

Any speakers will be an improvement over stock, although because the delco deck sounds so bad, no speakers will sound very good. Any Pioneer, Kenwood, Boston Acoustics, etc. will make an improvement over stock. If you want to be 100% stock, you should be able to find plenty of OEM speakers at a junk yard or brand new through year one or classic industries.

yeah dude, no offence, but why would you put a stock stereo back in?? they are terrible. If you're concerned about looks, they make flush kits or you could just get a 1.5 DIN headunit. They sound way better.

zedder, good luck in your quest to keep a proper radio in your car.

You'll have a little less power than most aftermarket decks, so if you're going to buy aftermarket speakers, try to get something with a high sensitivity rating; that is, it will make more decibels of sound per watt of radio power.

If you want to keep factory speakers in the car you can do that too. Just search the junkyards for any GM car that has 4x6 and 6x9 speakers. The fancier cars like Buicks and Cadillacs usually have upgraded speakers with separate tweeters as well.
