I haven't ever seen this radio before, in ANY car. I'm guessing it isn't factory 3rd gen as I can't find it in any literature.

Second gen maybe?? Just looks like an old factory stereo, missing ****, I would pass.

it is '82,but not camaro-probably came from a celebrity or other GM car using that type of radio-camaro version is very close to that but has rectangle instead of round presets.A blue VFD digital clock is in the upper left corner.The radio pictured does have camaro brackets,so may have been in an '82 camaro at one time.Besides cassette,an 8-track cartridge player version was avalible in '82

That radio is awesome just for the wow factor of initially looking at it. You could get a similar radio in f bodies but the am/fm switch was left to right not up and down like this one iirc.
