Ok, well I figured it's about time to replace the standard speakers on the maro seeing as how the left front one has blown, and I was planning on starting a nice sound system. I don't wanna spend too much on the front speakers, but I also don't wanna get crap that's not even gonna outdo the stock 4x6's and 6x9's. What are some good brands and what are some brands to stay away from? I already kinda dislike pyramid stuff. but what about soundstorm? Thanks in advance

well with requards to the cardboard wonder there... I have 2 way Boston 4x6's and 3 way Alpine 6x9's and they sound GREAT togeather. The Bostons were 89/93 with tax and the 'Pines were 110/116 with tax. The 'pines have close to 90 watts going to them and the Bostons have the head unit. Know what? I can hear the Bostons mids & high's over the 'Pines... It sounds like the band is right beside me.

I have infinity reference series 4x6s and 6x9s powered by my Altec Lansing 4 channel and they sound tight and really clear, weren't too expensive either.
