I am having thjis wierd problem on my new 406. While cruising the car is ok and light throttle it is ok. Now when I smash the gas its ok for a second or 2 then it goes to hesitating and sputtering and the fp drops 2psi and sometimes a little more. I am run a 3/8feed with a holley black pump on a holley 750dp. 78-86 jets. I am using a mallory regulator with the factory return line. I checked the ignition first by installing an HEI dist and it did the same thing so then new plugs, wires, cap etc same thing. I assume it has to be fuel cause the car starts sputtering when I mash the gas and the fp starts to drop.
