Hi guys,
Need some input here.
I've got a 350, Holley 4bbl carb (4160) stock jetting, RV cam.

I've got a really wierd condition when I push hard on the gas. It sometimes just shuts off if I go full throttle to the floor.
If I'm cruising around and not using the secondaries it's fine.
I took the air cleaner off and manually, quickly revved it from 0-100% and let off, and a flame birst out of the carb.

I have the idle screws at 1 1/2 turns out, the accel. pump to stock spec., the floats are on the leaner side, and the intake leak was fixed.
Plugs are black and sooty. so I'm sure it's rich.

Any suggestions why this is happening?? How to cure it? Is it a timing issue?
Thanks guys.

When I first got mine together it did something similar. Turned out I had #5 and #7 plug wires swapped. I felt like an idiot.

Hmm...
I should check my plug order.
But did it run with the plugs reversed?

A little rough, but it ran ok. It was my first carbed motor so I didn't know what to expect. As long as I didn't mash to throttle it would keep running. If I was too fast it would shoot flames out of the carb and stall.
