Hey guys my car is running to lean, I have a 750 double pumper with 76 jets in the primary and 84's in the secoundary, I have a 35 squirter up front and and 37 and in the back with the cams that give me the biggest shot, Now it idles fine but if you touch the gas it goes lean on the gauge, now even when I floor it it goes lean and if some1 takes off in it it blows white smoke in between shifts, my timing is around 13 base, and 34 total coming in at 3000rpm, Now what should I do to solve this problem cause it seems like my jetting is almost to big to me, Thanks everyone

Read your spark plugs. Put a couple fresh ones in and drive the car at normal cruise/light throttle but do not put it under heavy load. Stop and pull the fresh plugs you put in. They should be a light tan color. If they're white then you're lean, black then rich. Adjust your main jets accordingly and then make a wide open throttle pass and read the plugs again to see what you should do with your secondaries. Seems to me the jetting you have now is way too rich. Also, if it's blowing white smoke then it sounds like a coolant leak. Keep an eye on your coolant and oil level. Might want to drain your oil into a clear container and see if there's any coolant in it.

Yea, you sound rich. My setup is in my sig, similar to you except for the XE274.

I run a 61 main jet and a 68 secondary jet (slightly rich, but thats okay since it's only for WOT). I'm using a 35 pump shot nozzle, the pump shot doesn't have anything to do with idle.

It's cold out, if your burning coolant you should be able to smell it.

What makes you say you're lean? How do the spark plugs look? Those Rich/Lean guages are NOT accurate.

the plugs are alittle white and if i rev it it will blow white smoke, also if i put sum1 in my car and they take off in first say and then let off it blows out a puff of white smoke..

that sounds like too much jetting to me too.

I have 72 front and 72 back on mine. it's a 383 and it tend to run a little rich but makes best power that way on the dyno. My cam is 110LSA .525 .525 224/224. Mild for a 383.

I'm running about 37* total timing on my vortecs with 10.5:1 compression.
