Cant control Edelbrock Idle

Cant control Edelbrock Idle
Hello All,
Okay, recently replaced dizzy with a vacumn advance dist on my 1983 z-28,305 engine.Car had the computer controlled dist originally.Having installed ededlbrock carb, I cant get it to idle no where it should be.No matter what I do(adjust timing,idle screws,choke) it wont idle normal.What am I missing here.
