Spectre fuel line adapter

I bought a spectre fuel line adapter with the banjo fitting for my edelbrock 1406. The packaging specifically said it was compatible with Carter and edelbrock performer carb. I go to install it and the thread one the new banjo fitting are pipe thread, where as the the carbs inlet is the threads that are more spread out (its completely slipped my mind what they're called). Anybody got a remedy to this? I hate to sound cheap but I live way out and really dont feel like driving 35 miles to argue with the parts store to take it back even though I've opened it? Only reason I bought was to do away with some soft lines and it has a port on it for the fpg.

Re: Spectre fuel line adapter

Return that piece of junk and find a brand other than Spectre.
