Hi guys,
Budget is SEVERELY non-existant and i have to get my beast running for summer. What cars came with a dual snorkel intake. I was thinking of getting one from the junkyard for my ram-air.
I cannot afford the price of a new one.. no matter what the cost.
any ideas on how to make a dual snorkel???
Thanks for your time,
Rob

go back to the home page and look in the tech. articles, there is a really good one on combining two singles into a double.

People charge ridiculous prices for dual snorkel setups... in the neighborhood of $80+. Compare that to a single that I bought for $10... Best bet is to spend a lot of time at a U-Pullit yard and catch an L69 Camaro the day it is put out there. If you wait any longer, someone will be by to ****** it within hours. It shouldn't be more than $10 at a reasonable yard.
The same goes for 110+ Speedometers, I saw an '88 Formula about to be taken out to the yard, and I came back a day after it had been put out, the speedo was out and on the seat. It was electronic which is why it wasn't gone.
Ok enough story... Anyway, If you want an alternative that is nearly as good, go to an autoparts store and buy one of the assorted 14" Open element filters.... they run for about $20-$30 and look awesome under the hood.
