need help on carb jetting
Heres the deal..... I have a 355ci, performer rpm intake, crane single pattern 285. 285.(advertised@.50) 485 cam with 1.6 rockers(non roller) stock heads with Manley ss valves ,swirl tip? 3 angle valve job leading into Hooker super comps long tube headers with true duel exh. On top of this THING sits a Holly 750 dp with no choke, with all the trick kit parts including high flow ventures etc,etc,etc............ The jets that are in it now are 70p and 76s. Its the best combo I had laying arround. Do you think Im pretty close to the right jet sizes for the motor? If it helps the car also has a 2600 ati converter built to the hilt th350. The car should be running sometime this weekend . Its a 89 gta (given to me for free,no motor or trans) I suppled the rest. Its nice to have tons of freind and connections. Thanks for the replies
Those jets would be pretty close.
The way i jet is i take it to the track, and start. 3 passes on the current jets, pull the plugs, and see how they look. Depending on the color, go richer or leaner 2 sizes. If I pick up MPH, keep it going. But remember dont just base it on a single pass, i avg the 3.
Also, 285 advertised is right, 285@ .050" is massive lol!
