Somthing crapped out on me, what?

On my way home today from getting my car dyno'ed...the temp gauge was fine..then all of a sudden it started spiking from bottom to top pegging out.....and was act crazy...just going buzzerk.....and it wouldnt stop.....what could it be? the gauge, temp sensor?

what? why would it do that?

what broke?

Check to see if the wire has fallen off the temp sensor and is grounding out.

what sensor controls the dash gauge? the passenger side Thermo or the drivers side coolant?

drivers side head....



top manifold is for the computer

pass side head is for the fans

drivers side head is for the gauge.

I found it guys thanks...it was my coolant sensor clip that came off and freakin melted on my headers...damnit!....I tied it back up out of the way..

That is the one that I was talking about, I assumed you knew which one it was and where it was located. Sorry for not being more elaborate in my post.
