It will stay at a lower temp while driving but once it starts idleing the temp rises very quickly to over 220. ive replaced the thermostat and the fans both work and come on when they are supposed to. idk why its still overheating. Help anyone?

 

head gasket or your tune is bad and your running real lean

LEAN= HEAT

I read in one of the posts in thirdgen that placement of the intercooler (I'm assuming you have 1or 2) if blocking airflow to the rad can cause further overheating problems.
I myself will be installing a Procharger within the next 2 weeks and am anticipating overheating probs myself, since my car statrs to overheat at idle now.
