I had my chip tuned very well for the stealth ram, 24# SVO injector, MSD 6AL/blaster coil combo.. then I added nitrous. At first I run NOS' recommended 55N/43F jets and got knock, so I zeroed out the PE spark tables and pulled 4 degrees in the range the nitrous is used (it was retarding 12 degrees). I ran the same jets, still 12 degrees retard. Colder plugs (R42TS Delcos), 12 degrees retard. Found out the fuel jet is ridiculously rich, put in a 34 fuel jet, 12 degrees retard (but runs much better.) I only get maybe 2 or 3 knock counts over the whole nitrous run. Plug cuts on the warmer plugs showed they were too hot, haven't checked the new plugs yet.

What is everyone else doing to their chips for nitrous? I'm running 100 shot on a 130k L98 longblock with 92 octane, new intake and MSD's full catalog of ignition products so I shouldn't be getting retard, even after pulling out a bunch of timing in steps. Bottle pressure is 950-1050 on all runs. I have a new 255 lph Holley in-tank pump, installed last week. My setup should be more than enough to handle a 100 shot. Is there some odd side effect of nitrous that sets off false knock retard?
