Here is the website of someone who built an oscillator to defeat the Passkey system:
http://home.hiwaay.net/~davida1/passkey.htm

Does this look like something that would work on my system? On what circuit are the oscillations emitted? It looks like the 1986-1987 'vette setup used terminal B6 with the dark blue wire. Do I simply run the oscillator with a 5 volt output at approximately 50hz to this terminal? Thanks.

Do ALLL THAT when all u have to do is click a checkbox in TunerCat to disable VATS, then burn the bin on a chip. LOL

Hmm, thought it was 5v specific, but he's using Bat., so I guess that will work.
Don't have vette diagram handy, but what ever the vats feed to is what you use.

Might it be better for me to reduce this voltage to 5V, or would that be of any benefit at all to the system if the signal is not voltage specific? How could I wire the 7805 regulator to supply the device without affecting the frequency of the oscillations? Thanks for your help.
