I have a 85 Iroc with the 1226870 computer want to upgrade to a faster one which one would be the best to work with seems no one likes the 6870. THANKS FOR ALL REPLYS.

Either the '165 or the '730 would be a great upgrade. Mike Davis has done both, well from the '870 to the '165 then to the '730. You can see his documentation at:

Both will spit out data at the 8192 baud rate instead of whaever your's is (160?). For the codes, both the 6E (165) and the 8D (730) are pretty well definited by TunerCat, GMEPro, and other tuner programs.
