We are trying to figure out how to use a Autoprom with TunerPro RT. We got a bin from a running mild 454 that he got from AFI and loaded it into the emulator and drove on it. It ran good the first run before it got completely up to operatin temp. Then it has a flat spot from 1800-2800 then after 2800 it turns on hard. Not entirely sure were to start changing to clean that up.
Also tried to get it to data log and emulate in TunerPro Rt and can't get it to log. We hooked up a snap on scan tool and that can read it so we know the ALDL is wired correctly. What are we missing to log and emulate?
TBI 454 using 7747. No VSS, EGR,
Thanks

Check your timing. could be the timing is allowing the igintion of charge to occur retarded beyond the closing of ext valve. What is your intial timing with ESC disconnected?Exhaust manifold were glowing red when we got back.....
well we had it a 0* base timing but found later that the tune we were using off a near identical 454 was programmed for 8*. We retimed it and it ran really good.
