Hey guys Ive been playing around with tuning the past few months and Im not able to get a VE learn above 2500 RPM and 20KPA in a down ward slope to 700RPM and 60kpa If that makes sense... My biggest issue is that when cursing down the high way and i slightly push the gas is goes lean like 18 19 ive held it there for miles trying to get it to learn but no luck I have 3:73 gears so i am above 2500 rpm when i get this. Also not able to get it to learn at WOT Ive held her through all gears tons of times to 5500 with no learn and at WOT its running 10 11. I am running at wide band and can give the list of mods if you guys need it but its a NA engine am i sit a mile high in Denver. Any help would be great thanks.

Re: EBL P4 wont ve learn
Try increasing the RPM Learn Threshold value from 3600 to 6000;

BLM - RPM Learn Threshold

Aside from making sure the engines running in openloop to do learns with a wideband are you also changing in the WUD preferences for it to learn from the WB02 instead of the NB02?

I looked quickly before work and didn't see a BLM - RPM Learn Threshold in turner pro. Would it be under tables and maybe defined differently?

I will check tonight and see what loop I'm in during the issues but yes I have my setting changed to WBO2

There are two sets of BLM parameters in the XDF, scroll to the bottom passed VE tables...

Well to make use of the WB02 for ve learns you need to be running openloop. To do so you need to set the closed loop CTS threshold high enough that it won't go into closed loop during normal operating temps I just max it out at 150c.

He is having trouble w/VE Learning above 2500-RPM and at wide open throttle. His system appears to be learning under 2500-RPM in Open Loop, just not above. Wide open throttle is Open Loop either way and is still being ignored. It is more than likely the RPM threshold, although on the other hand Bob might have designed the EBL-P4 to ignore that RPM Threshold parameter in the XDF. I have that threshold set to 6000-RPM regardless though...

Re: EBL P4 wont ve learn
I get what your saying I've only used a handful of different starter bins related to my application maybe the settings in some of the other bins are different. But if they're all the same in regards to settings related to ve learns this seems more user error related but I'm no expert. What I mentioned was based off of my own prior experiences when first figuring out the EBL and ve learns myself. Lets say for instance he's tuning in closedloop with his nb02 and isn't seeing learns in those 20 kpa areas this could be because he has the bin set to run openloop during decel or possibly the reverse? I'm just trying to offer some help. Even with the WBo2 the areas from cruise to WOT can be hard for me to learn with my auto trans and high stall since whenever I get into the throttle it typically jumps 2-3k rpms of table area not giving it enough time to do the learn. I usually have to find a empty road in the middle of nowhere and stick it in first or second and very slowly increase the throttle while watching the wud and keep an eye on the cells I'm hitting and work my way up the tables.
