any one know what wires go where? It is not my car other wise I would know the colors to help but, none the less I don't know but, figured some one may know something that would help.

Strictly a guess on the number and color of the wires, but there usually are red, black, white, and green wires coming from the tach.
The black goes to chassis ground; the red to a switched (key off) power source; the white splices into the dash lights to vary the brightness; and the green hooks up to the negative side of the ignition coil.

The white is the white wire off your coil for the tach lead, black is ground, red ignition or any hot in run source. th green is for your interior lights so its lighted at night. if you dont have a tach now just take off the white wire leaving your coil.
