I want to hook up a small simple circuit that when you close the door instead of the interior lights turning off I want them to dim out. Can anyone tell me the wire(s) that run to the interior lights?

Power to the dome lights is supplied as a constant from the fuse panel via an orange wire. Ground is supplied via a white wire from both door pins & the dimmer control on the headlight switch.

Since it is controlled by the door pin switch on the negative wire it makes it harder to do. Does anyone know how to make a circuit for this?

Nice Site! It looks like this circuit is designed to be used on a car that has a positive switch door. I wonder if I could use this circuit because camaros use negative door switches. Could someone take a look at this who knows a lot about electronics and tell me if this will work?

I think this might work. I just added in a PNP transistor and I'll test it out on a breadboard to let everyone know if it works. If you see a flaw, please let me know.

the transistor I added in needs a resistor between the door switch and the base pin. somebody want to figure it out for me? I'm not all that good with electronic circuit designs. Another resort is to just use a relay to switch the polarity! This is probably easiest.

Try something like a 40 or 50 K resistor.

Did anyone get this circuit to work? I saw two different ways to add the transistor JPrevost added, did not worlk for me. If anyone has gotten this to work, please post a correct schematic. Thanks
