I am having a problem with my car. When i turn the key i am not getting anything. Starter wont work or nothing. The battery does turn on thats it. Its not the starter because we hooked juice up to it and it worked so we are thinking maybe it is the ignition. If you might no what the problem is give me a hand. But i need to know where the starter enable relay is and the neutral safety switch is on the car. Thank for your help Matt

its under the drivers side dash, along with the pass key module.

for further info, search the boards for topics on "VATS" and resistor pellet in ignition key.

The starter relay is behind the driver side kickpanel.

With the key on, give the 2 yellow wires 12V. Does the car start?

Neutral safety switch is on the shifter itself (I assume you have an auto)

Ok, so you applied 12V to both yellow wires, and the engine cranked. But it didnt start. And this is with the key in the ON position?

In your first post, you said you applied voltage at the starter. With the key in the ON position, does this actually start the car, or does it just crank and crank?

If the engine starts up, I would say to replace the starter relay.

If it doesnt start up, you may have a VATS problem.

With the key in the ON position, does the SECURITY light stay on?
